Okay...for real this time, this will be the LAST LAST day to talk about water. Just a few little notes on ocean characteristics and ocean exploration. On page 100 in our notebooks, we did ocean facts. Here is the powerpoint from today.
We also went over the green sheet for hydrology vocabulary Vocabulary is KEY for passing the EOG!!!
Now on to EOG review. Everyone is getting an EOG review booklet. It is a small packet filled with content of all the material we have covered all year. You can highlight it, underline, circle it...it is YOURS! You should be reading in class, at home, on the bus and during chrome room. Any time you get a chance, read it! Remember, I only see you every other day, and that means only 6 days together before the science EOG.
We are starting on Chemistry since it was the first unit of year. Since, we cannot reteach everything we have learned this year, we will be focusing on VOCABULARY and some key concepts for each unit. Today we focused on vocabulary, creating small flip books in our notebooks on the back of page 100 and front of 101.
Your job today (and for homework) is to read 2-4 in your packet and highlight important information and vocabulary. As you are reading fill in the vocabulary on your vocabulary chart. These are the words that should be defining:
element, period, compound, mixture, group, metalloid, solubility,
metals, nonmetals, density
Finish this up for homework!!! Thank you.
