Today's warm up was for students to predict what happened in the past regarding mass extinctions, appearance of humans. Next, we colored in a football field, labeling the different eras and eons. The purpose was for students to see that the Precambrian time period is the majority o the history of the Earth and that humans showed up at the very very end of the history of the Earth.

Finally we did a little research on 3 different ways they are able to date the fossils. (ice cores, radioactive carbon and relative dating) If you did not finish in class today, teh handouts are attached at the bottom of this post.
